DictionarY JokeR SerieS - ‘Pastime’ : Spare Time Pursuit, Hobby

When two, whose hobby is, -profound study of CHAMBERS, meet:

That you are now retired, how do you pass your time?
Look, you know -I am a man with no ego whatsoever; ...
? ..You have not answered me!
Well, to elucidate – to be true to myself -I can’t claim to - pass time; it passes on its own.
I know, I know-but what I meant was – What is your ‘spare time pursuit’?
How silly you are! Is that not –begging the question? ....after retirement, I have, of course, all the time (24 hours of the clock) to spare.
??
Only that, - I have no ‘pursuit’ .
???

‘Super Brain’ – A Missing Word?!

I have always great respect for Englishman.
ARE you an ‘antinational’!
Nnno, Nnno- I respect him because he is the one who I can dare say, – is true to himself.
How come?
He is never shy to laugh ‘at himself’.
Not only that; he is frank enough to  not believe in the concept of ‘super brain’.
??
For that matter, my guess is, - he not even fully believes in the concept of - ‘brain’

I, No Inch Of Me, Am A Bureaucrat

Hello sir, how are you!

Ai Manju, meet my friend, a government official.

Oh, glad to meet you sir; this is the first time I have the pleasure of meeting a bureaucrat!

Nnno, Nnno Madam! I am not one; even an inch of me!

??

Let me explain; no rules (of book), for me to rigidly follow; frankly, I never ever refer any book, even if I have one - so no question of me rigidly following...

!!!

Yess, believe me Madam... if I say, there may be rules but never even look into them.

How then you manage!!!

No doubt I am rigid as expected of me, so firm enough to create delays and difficulties.

But thenn ;

Of course, people who come to me, know that; but they are shrewd enough to ensure that they don’t suffer any such delays or difficulties.

???!!! wonderful !!!!

Front drop: Per Dictionary, Bureaucrat means: “1. A government official. 2.an official who follows rules rigidly, so creating delays and difficulties,...

Oh, is that so! pity meee!

A Joint Venture

At the Parliament House Corridors -

Look there! you know who are those 3 chaps?

One in the middle you may know.

Nnno!

He is a co-member of the House.

Oh! Surprising, I have never seen him inside the august House!

Achha!

The other two- one is a lawyer, another a bureaucrat.

How is it then I always see all 3 bunched together, in our corridors, engaged in an animated chat; don’t they have their own offices?

This lobby is their office during the day time; that is why.

??

Yes, they run a joint venture enterprise– ‘professional lobbyists’.

THE CATCH WORD

At the air port lounge:

I have been noticing you - kept laughing !

No, no; I was laughing at myself .

Then you must be an Englishman ?

No, no!

??

To be precise, - I was laughing myself.

???

CA and Lawyer - rolled into one!

Look! there he goes.
Who is he?
He is - ‘so and so’
What is he?
A professional.
Which one?
A CA;  also a lawyer.
Then he must be one having knowledge of both - 'Accounting' and 'Law'.!
Oh, yes; “TO THE BEST OF HIS KNOWLEDGE AND BELIEF”
I don’t get you!
You better get and ask him only.
